Down here in Wilmington working for the first time and it's been terrible for food, but then I went to this fantastic location. The food was really fresh and flavourful. The bar was full stocked with all kinds of fancy bourbon and whiskey. The staff was friendly and professional. The place was really nicely decorated and comfortable as well. I would classify the food as uppity bar food, but tastefully done. I most certainly will be back
Enjoyed our dinner. Chicken sandwich and burger are the best we've had in the area. Spicy chicken skins were a treat. Excellent service and great casual atmosphere.
We had a good time at the Farmer & Cow. The burgers were delicious as well as the shakes & cocktails. We had the Mac&Cheese for the kids (vegetarian option) and the FTC burger & the Moo Caliente. Now the Moo Caliente is spicy, but it's a backend lingering heat vs. burning your tung on fire. So if you love spicy you can eat it. I prob will get a different one next time due to the overpowering of the heat masking the flavor. I enjoyed it. I just wish it would have complimented more by enhancing the flavor of the burger with heat.
The FTC burger & Mac & Cheese were very good!
Wow! We don't venture up into Wilmington very often, but this place was great! We had the buffalo wings and Moo Caliente burger with fries and tots. The best tots I have had, hands down. They are seasoned and I wanted to just eat them all! The wings were good and crispy, not too spicy. The burger was spicy. The pickles were made there. The special cocktails are made by drink "nerds" and so fancy, complex, and delicious. The staff and the patrons are all pretty chill and open to the experience. The whiskey flight was amazing (they have ALL the whiskey). You will not be disappointed by this place!
The service was good and the atmosphere was quaint
The burgers were subpar. Go for the original fries over the truffle tots.
The best thing was the shakes.
My favorite place in Wilmington, best cocktails in town, hands down! Great place to eat before or after a visit to Huxley & Hiro Bookstore next-door. John, Alex, Olivia and the rest of the crew are amazing. I've never even liked burgers and I actually eat burgers here because they're great. I love trying their monthly specials. Fantastic shakes as well. Try the truffle tots!
Saw this place on the food network channel, and it looked interesting enough to take the ride from south jersey to wilmington. Was not disappointed at all. The burgers were top-notch, including the chicken skins (pretty spicy if you like that). The shakes were awesome as well. The atmosphere was very comfortable and quaint. Service was very good. The woman who serviced us was very nice and took care of us. The prices were slightly high, but it was definitely worth it and will go back again and hope you give it a try. Parking is a little tough, but just be patient, and you will find one.
Finally got to try this restaurant out. While it wasn't the "silver bullet for burgers" I hoped it would be,it wasn't bad. My son felt it was a little overpriced the caliber of the food, and I guess I'd have to agree , but I didn't feel quite as strongly about it as he did. We got the Macaroni and Cheese appetizers and a couple of bacon burgers. The only reason I probably won't go back anytime soon is because of the distance and parking vs. everything else. The staff was great. The atmosphere of the restaurant was equally great, and as I said, the food was good, but was probably priced a bit higher. For two burgers and the macaroni and cheese appetizer, it was $46. Now if I lived down the street, I'd no doubt give them another visit.
